"Like Cashare, we are also a service provider offering support for our customers – not from a financial perspective, but in a care-related manner, to cover the same needs with the same professionalism, quality, and unique processing system."

Cashare also supports our customers in bridging financial obligations. Jürg Gyr's company – neutral financial services GmbH, whose shareholder and managing director of plusminus50.ch – have agreed on cooperation and support each other with their services.

Advance Directive – Patient Decree and Powers of Attorney

When a person becomes incapacitated, taking action without an advance directive, patient decree, or powers of attorney becomes very limited. Not only for the affected person but also for close relatives.

Mrs. M. from Zürich confidently approached me with the following question. Her mother, 72 years old and widowed, has been affected by dementia for some time, and the associated cognitive limitations are increasingly noticeable in daily life. Medically and legally, the mother is considered incapacitated.

The Three Essential Documents

This unpleasant situation of restriction can be avoided by creating an advance directive, patient decree, and power of attorney early; important orders that regulate the following topics:

  • Personal care – personal well-being, such as medical care and choice of accommodation
  • Asset care – the financial part including asset management and bill payments
  • Legal representation such as signing a nursing home contract or cancelling a subscription

The patient directive bindingly regulates medical questions, forms of care, and also regulates questions about life-sustaining measures in detail.

Many people believe that a power of attorney regulates everything. However, a Federal Court decision states that all powers of attorney expire upon incapacity unless they meet certain conditions.

When it comes to personal and legal provision, professional advice is worthwhile. At www.plusminus50.ch you will find numerous information and video scenes on various topics.
