2020 Year in Review

This extraordinary and demanding year is coming to an end, and many people are looking forward to a new chapter with the coming year 2021. There is hope that some normalization of our accustomed life can be regained in the new year.

The most important news from Cashare's perspective first: The entire team is in the best of health, and fortunately there were no serious or tragic cases in our close circle. But COVID-19 also caused some turbulence for us and significantly influenced our business and the year.

New Office Space

To accommodate the company's growth and the associated increasing staff, we decided at the end of 2019 to take over the vacant neighboring offices and double the office space from around 210 m² to 420 m².

Response to COVID-19 and Home Office

We sent the Cashare team to work from home very early, even before the lockdown and the Federal Council's call. In general, we took the crisis very seriously early on and observed it as a risk for the entire SME landscape.

Our DNA as a technology company and our over 12 years of experience came in very handy here. Our IT infrastructure was perfectly prepared, and all employees were accustomed to using it.

"Ein Herz für KMU" Project

Within a few weeks, our "Ein Herz für KMU" (A Heart for SMEs) project was launched. With this solution, we brought our expertise in payment processing in the form of a newly developed voucher system. The vouchers were intended to enable SMEs to continue generating liquidity despite closed shops during the lockdown.

Developments in 2020

To be able to manage future growth, two new employees will support us from January 1, 2021, and two more will join in February. This means that for the first time, more than 20 employees will work at Cashare in 2021.

Ultimately, we were able to grow comfortably in this difficult year with a high double-digit percentage.

Best regards, Michael Borter with the entire Cashare team!
